Belize

The second part of my gap year was spent in Belize, in the villages of Bella Vista and San Isidro in the South of Belize. During this time I taught about environmental issues at local schools, worked with women's groups and girl's clubs to get them more involved in their communities and to feel more empowered, built home gardens and compost piles with local families, got to immerse myself in the amazing community there, and also had time to explore other parts of Belize like Placencia and Belize City
